At my internship at
Sheldon Studio*
At my internship at Sheldon Studio I worked on a project
for their customer Slow News. in which the brief and the
mission was to rebrand their digital platform. Slow news
is among the winners of the Innovative Journalism Fund
promoted by the European Journalism
Centre. As a part of
the International slow
journalism movement movement they are promoting
values and actions towards a more conscious and slow journalism.
They are against the toxic news mainstream, and are instead offering
their customers highly validated stories and information which the
readers can follow in forms of series. In our redesign we included user
flows where the series are in focus and it’s easy to get an overview of
the reading material. We also adjusted the site towards a more user
friendly approach in terms of readability. E.g. designing options for
the user to change the text size, background colour,
or to remove surrounding ‘noise’ like links and footnotes.
